A great patio should feel like an effortless extension of your home comfortable in the heat, easy to maintain, and welcoming day or night. In Central Florida, that means planning for sun, rain, humidity, and year-round use.
This project in Avalon park Orlando , is the prove of it .

Before pictures

The original patio was in poor condition, so the homeowners rarely used the backyard. It lacked a grill station and a comfortable area to gather by the pool, and the surface was uneven.
We redesigned the space to include a new lounging area for beach chairs, making the poolside much more comfortable and usable.

We aimed to create a patio that connects seamlessly with the home, supports poolside lounging and dining, and remains comfortable and easy to maintain year-round. That meant optimizing the pool deck footprint, adding a shaded cooking and serving zone, and choosing materials that stay cool, resist slipping, and look great over time.
Pool Area Redesign
Safer, Smarter Deck Layout
We reshaped circulation around the pool to provide clear walkways, proper furniture zones, and better access from the house. Strategic steps, wider transitions, and code-compliant clearances make movement intuitive and safe.
Slip-Resistant Surfaces
We specified pavers with a textured finish to improve traction when wet and selected lighter tones to reduce surface heat.
Drainage That Works
Updated grading and discreet channel drains move water away from the home and walking paths, minimizing puddles after summer storms.
A Fully Equipped Summer Kitchen
Appliances and Workflow
The layout centers on a built-in grill, side burner, under-counter refrigeration, and concealed trash—everything within arm’s reach. Counter space flanks the cooking zone for prep and serving.
Durable Materials
Non-porous countertops, weather-rated cabinetry, and stainless components stand up to humidity and frequent use.
Comfort and Utilities
Integrated lighting, outlets for small appliances, and optional gas/electrical stubs support future features without reopening the patio.
Before & After , What Changed
Before: Uneven surfaces, minimal shade, no grilling area, limited room to gather by the pool.
After: Defined lounge and dining zones, a high-function summer kitchen, slip-resistant pavers, improved drainage, and lighting for day-to-night enjoyment.
